When Co-Founder and Creative Director Barbara Brignoni made the bold decision to cut off her damaged hair and embrace her natural curls, she embarked on a transformative path of self-discovery. Unlearning preconceived notions about beauty and identity - what she now calls her ‘Curly Hair Journey’- became as much about self-acceptance as it was about hair care.
Through countless trials and experiments with existing products, Barbara identified a gap in the market - a need for a luxury curly hair brand that embodies elegance while empowering people to feel beautiful in their natural curls, no matter where they are in their transition journey.
Horae of Spring was born from a deeper calling, a desire to create a brand that empowers women to embrace their natural beauty and honor the journey of self-love. Inspired by the mythological story behind Botticelli’s ‘The Birth of Venus’, the brand draws its essence from the divine feminine and the graceful figure known as the Hora of Spring.
In Greek mythology, the Hora of Spring is one of the ‘Horae’, goddesses of the natural order, who welcomes Venus as she emerges from the sea. More than just a supporting figure, she symbolizes the nurturing energy, guidance, and light we all need as we step into our most authentic selves.
And so, the spirit of transformation and support is what shaped Horae of Spring - a brand created to guide curly hair goddesses on their path to self-celebration.
